Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District
Information About Measure B
Cotati and Rohnert Park Schools Offer a Quality Education
With rigorous academic curriculum, highly qualified teachers and strong community support, we are proud to provide a solid education for our students in Cotati and Rohnert Park. We are proud to be implementing innovative new instructional programs, and our students’ test scores on statewide exams have risen significantly over the past several years.
Providing a Safe and Modern Learning Environment for All Students
Many of our classrooms are over 50 years old and struggle to support a modern education. Repairs to leaking roofs and windows and removal of lead, asbestos and other hazardous materials from schools where present are needed. Science labs and instructional technology need updates to meet modern academic standards.
As student achievement is on the rise, more families are attracted to our schools. We must ensure we have the classrooms, science labs and school libraries to accommodate this enrollment growth.
Additionally, improving energy efficiency by replacing outdated heating, ventilation, electrical and plumbing systems would support the District efforts to save over $200,000 a year – money that could be redirected to support core academic programs and classroom teaching.
